Manufacturing Management Trainee

Learn the different areas and processes within the factory that produces mattress ticking for US Customers, including Tempur-Pedic, Simmons, and Sealy. Learn to speak the language of the factory floor and gain insight into the culture and job functions of factory associates. Learn all aspects of the manufacturing and distribution process. Learn the functions of the business as a whole.

Position Responsibilities: Essential
Gain understanding of workflow, employee relations and processes through hands-on experience with production equipment and working with management team
Work in different departments to gain perspective, including sales, customer service, purchasing, and design departments.
Contribute to process improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Assisting with managing a department and the supervision of hourly employees, training and orientation of new employees, and the scheduling of work for employees
Assist management with the compiling, storing, and retrieving of production data and other record keeping duties
Job shadow managers and supervisors in preparation for a leadership role, including performing as a back-up supervisor during training
Receive classroom instruction in subjects related to rotational experience.
Attend lectures, watch guest speakers, and create projects and presentations
Attend periodic evaluations.
Use company reports to analyze sales, gross profit and inventory activity.
Actively pursue learning objectives and seek additional opportunities for growth and development
Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job

Essential Skills and
Must be a graduating Senior, or have already completed the required Degree

This is a salaried, full-time position with benefits available.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
